FAQs
What type of materials are used?
My pots are hand painted in acrylic paint, and sealed with a satin gloss. The Terracotta pots have water sealant coating on the inside.
How do you take care of hand painted terracotta?
Best to take care when handling, storing and cleaning.
When cleaning, never submerge pots in water – and use a damp cloth to wipe surface.
In order to keep your hand painted pot in tip top condition for as long as possible, I would recommend to keep plants in their plastic growers pot where possible (especially as watering separately will help keep your pot from sitting with it’s base submerged in water)
Can I place pots outside?
Because these pots are hand painted, they are recommended for indoor use, or a sheltered area outdoors, away from the elements.
When is the next store update?
Stay tuned to Instagram. Ill announce when I’ve uploaded pieces, or when there is an update coming. You can also join my mailing list here.
Are custom orders available?
Yes! But in periods of high demand, custom orders may not be available at all times.
Please keep an eye on my Instagram for updates, or send me an email with your custom request.
Unfortunately due to current workload, there will be no custom orders available for the remainder of 2020.
Do you ship internationally?
The standard terracotta pots can only be couriered within Australia. The pots are heavy and I can’t guarantee an international fragile service.
Occasionally lightweight fibreglass pots come up that can be sent overseas.
I’ll post about these on my Instagram when available.
How are pots shipped?
I endeavor to use recycled packaging as much as possible, so you may find recycled cardboard and newspaper keeping your pot safe and snug.
I use Sendle to arrange couriers within Australia – they are 100% Carbon Neutral, and have proven to be the fastest and safest for my pots.
I charge a standard shipping charge of $15.45 across Australia.
My pot has arrived damage - what should I do?
From time to time pots may arrived damaged (sad face) This does not happen very often, but is part of selling a fragile item.
Please email me asap on julianesbit@gmail.com with a photo. In addition it would be appreciated if the photo can be taken alongside your shipping label and sent to me asap upon receipt.
When can i buy hand painted baubles?
Usually sometime in October or early November!
Please note that I am no longer offering a personalised service, however If you would like to match to previous baubles please email me including a photo of what you’re hoping to match & i will see if I can accommodate your request.
I have been painting baubles for over ten years and supplies have varied over this time, so unfortunately it’s not always possible.
